Fray Ardens is the work of a Jungian alchemist who works out of an owl-haunted church in the high desert. Fray draws from alchemy, herbal wisdom, and the ineffable things the nose knows. Fray is formulated with the understanding that the senses have their own embodied wisdom and that the process of making a scent— in which base materials are broken apart and fused together, coagulating into a new, yet deeply familiar solutio—is not so distant from that of psychotherapy. Fray Arden’s fragrances are crafted from intuitively blended natural materials forming scents that evoke both wisdom and play.
